Hi friends , Now a days millions of Smartphones are using Android as their operating system. This post is to inform you about the history and all the activities of Android operating system .
The history and versions of Android are interesting to know. The code names of android range from A to N currently such as Alpha , Blender , cupcake , doughnut , eclair , froyo , Gingerbread , honeycomb , Ice Cream Sandwich , Jelly Bean , KitKat , lollipop and nogut let us understand Android history in a sequence.
Initially Android was developed by Andy Rubin in Palo Alto , California , United States in october 2003 . Later it was owned by Google Corporation in 17th August 2005 and is now developing under Google Inc.

Android is a complete set of software for mobile devices such as tablet computers , notebooks , smartphones , electronic book reader , set top boxes etc. It contains a Linux based operating system , middleware and key mobile application . It can be thought of as a mobile operating system but it is not limited to mobile only. It is currently used in various devices such as mobiles , tablets , TVs , etc.

The first two versions of Android unnamed but cupcakes and later are all version names alphabetically . The first version of Android was decided to be named as Android Alpha launched in November 2007 but the first commercial version is Android 1.0 .
Android is an open platform it means that anyone can make changes in intention published his own Android version by giving it a suitable name.
